Our Moms…

Happy Mother’s Day to all moms!

We are not only moms now. We are still daughters – I hope we are not forgetting this.
I just saw a billboard of a telecommunications company that has a picture of a belly of a pregnant woman and it says, “you were this close before…”

It suddenly made me realized that it is really true. Our moms carried us for about 9 months in her belly. We are fully dependent on our mothers then. What she ate, we got to eat it also. What she drank, we also have a taste of it. All her conversations, we hear… All her pains and joys, we also felt… Our moms are our world – our only world.

Now that we also experienced what our moms experienced when they were pregnant, we know how much sacrifice they endured, just to make us healthy and well. We realized how cautious and limited her activities were because we are in their bellies. And oh.. and that was just the start of it.

What about the every 4 hour feeding sessions? That they have to get up because they have to feed us? The terrible 2s? The first time we got sick? We may not remember these all, but now, we know that your mother have gone through that also. And maybe we have already asked your mom several times, “How on earth have you done this?” hahaha!

So now, it is Mother’s Day, and nobody can be more appreciative of their mothers than a daughter is also a mom herself. I guess you cannot agree with me more!

Today is the perfect time to show your appreciation, admiration and love to our mothers – they truly deserve this… and you too!
