Learning New Things: Affliate Marketing
I love the internet!
Internet Marketing is full of possibilities – and i agree that making money is just equivalent to learning new things!
I wish i have discovered internet marketing 27 years ago, in its infancy age, or even 10 years ago when it is so very easy to do SEO. But i am still very blessed that i found out about IM almost 4 years ago. And from there on, i did not look back.
Well, aside from my Hire a VA, which assists clients in SEO related tasks and some adsense accounts, i am now venturing in affiliate marketing. At first, i see comments like, “why sell other people’s stuff?”, “Google frowns on affiliate marketing”, or even “you will not get any decent profit from being an affialiate”. Wow, it took me about 2 years to realize that these are all myths. I should have double checked all the things i have been reading. Moral lesson of this story.
I was just so thirsty in learning and perfecting my craft in SEO and i come across a video of Matt Carter. And then i enrolled in SEO Experts Academy to get more training from him and his partner Terry Kyle. And from there, i got hold of Matt’s Rapid Profit Formula. That training is really something. After you are done with about 4 hours of videos, you are ready and will be able to do affiliate marketing just like a pro. Well, not so pro – but at least you can do everything correctly.
In building a site (just like building a business), everything should be planned. For affiliate marketing, the foundation is the Keywords. You get this right, half of your job is done. The other half, of course is getting traffic and sales. And these will simplier if you have a guide (and not just like those so-called AM gurus that just sell software or trainings), Matt walks the talk. He is really a person who does what he teaches, that is why he is so successful. He shares all he knows but you have to do your part, study and listen well, follow instructions and continue to research.
I am not here to promote the trainings, because i am not an affiliate on those. I am just a very satisfied student/client of Matt Carter. I have learned so much from him. And because of that, i am on my way to my Affiliate Marketing success.

Why Many Wants to Hire Moms?
It seems that that many and many internet marketers are relying on moms – they tend to hire more working mommies. I have been observing this trend for quite sometime now.
What could be the reason for this? I guess it is very simple; because they are mothers. Society in general has very high respect for mothers. We see them as responsible, caring and hard working. That would mean they would do good in their jobs. Can you imagine a mommy not doing her work for the day or doing a sloppy job? I do not think so. Well, of course there are a few exceptions.
And also, a great number of stay at home moms are those who worked in the corporate world or even executives already but because of the call of being a mom, they have to leave their jobs and take care of their families. So in short, they are intelligent and well educated women. And who will pass the opportunity of hiring these women in their businesses?
One of the primary factor of a great worker is that the person should be in a ‘happy’ state of mind. If this is the case, you will get the full benefits of your staff. Being a mom is a great feeling – and being a working mom would make them super happy. To explain this further, being a mom is such a fulfillment already. But since they also have to fill the missing spot in their life that they have to use their minds to something else. That comes in the working at home solution. They can be with their families and make their minds work – and of course earn extra dollars for their families. How grand that would be.
So hiring a virtual assistant mom is a win-win solution. You get to have motivated workers and in return, moms will have the satisfacation they are looking for.

Happy Mother’s Day to all moms!
We are not only moms now. We are still a daughter – I hope we are not forgetting this.
I just saw a billboard of a telecommunications company that has a picture of a belly of a pregnant woman and it says, “you were this close before…”
How to Monitor Your Virtual Assistant
Most business owners think that it is hard to hire a VA due to the fact that they are… virtual (obviously)! They cannot see what they do during their shift and they will have a hard time tracking their outputs.
Here are some simple ways to monitor your Virtual Assistant:
1. You should screen your VA well. If there are rates given to the VA, it will surely help. You will know if he/she is dependable, on time and trustworthy. This will give make your screening 50% easier. Have in mind to rate your VA after your project so that other business owners like you will have an idea of the kind of experience you had with that particular staff.
2. Make sure that you hire a VA that is knowledgeable with the task. This will eliminate the ‘learning cycle’ and would immediately proceed to the task proper.
3. You should give out clear, as in crystal clear instructions. Do not think that your VA is knowledgeable enough to figure things out. This maybe the case, but do not left this to chance – this will just mean additional time and cost if the instructions are unclear to the VA. If possible, write everything – itemized and even step by step. This is perfect if the project is long term, just write it once and it can be used all throughout the project.
4. For the first days, you may want to ‘monitor’ them. You can use Log Me In service (www.logmein.com). You can sign up for free. You are like viewing your staff’s desktop real time. (You can also do this if you have something to teach your Virtual Assistant because you can even control the VA’s computer). If you will do this, make sure your VA’s computer has good specs so that it will not slow down the connection.
5. And finally, the reporting. You may opt for the old style reporting style, wherein your staff will itemize all the things that he did and email to you. Or you may just have a Report or Spreadsheet, preferably online, (I recommend Google docs), wherein you and your staff will fill out what he has done for the day and you in turn can view it. You may randomly check the items just to make sure it was properly done.
These are only some ideas on how to check your VA’s tasks. Remember, you hired a VA to do things for you, so you just have to learn to trust him that he is doing the job well (make sure he is worth the trust) and just monitor it randomly. This will give you time to do the ‘real business’ for your company.
But if you feel that you are checking and correcting the VA frequently even if you know that you have given all the instructions clear and concise, maybe it is time to find another one.
So does it mean that we need to hire a VA that is great and perfect and terrific and wonderful… Absolutely no! Why? Because there is nobody like that – well not 100% like that. But you can find a good one, you have to just try to find and it at the right places.
Hire a VA that is fitting for your requirements and this will make your life easier… trust me on this!
